Creating your account

Sign up with Apple, Google, or an email and password. If you sign up with email, you'll set a password you can change later in Settings.

Already signed up with one method and trying another with the same email? LineCue will ask you to confirm with your password to link the two together, so you always land in the same account.

Adding your first script

From your script list, tap Add Script and choose one of two ways to get your script into LineCue:

Upload a PDF

Upload a PDF of your script and LineCue will read it and split it into scenes, characters, and lines for you. If your PDF is a scan rather than typed text, LineCue will still scan the pages and pull the text out. Just make sure the scan is clear and legible.

Record your lines

No PDF? No problem. Speak each line out loud and LineCue writes it down as you go, building your script line by line. This is a good option for scripts you only have on paper, or scenes you're building from scratch.

Either way, give your script a name and continue. If you uploaded a PDF, LineCue takes a moment to analyse it. You'll see a short progress screen while it works.

Setting up your character

Once your script is ready, LineCue asks which character is yours. This tells the app which lines are yours to perform, and which lines your scene partner should read. You can skip this step and set it later from the script's options.
