How self-taping works
Record your take without needing anyone else in the room.
- Open a script and tap Self Tape.
- LineCue shows your camera preview with your lines displayed nearby, so you can keep your eyes close to the lens while you perform.
- Tap record. If you've set a countdown, it plays before recording starts.
- LineCue listens along as you perform and moves the script forward for you automatically, the same way Auto-Cue works in rehearsal.
- Tap stop when you're done. LineCue processes your take and takes you straight to playback.
Reviewing your take
Watch your take back with a scrubber to move through it. From here you can:
- Redo: discard the take and record again
- Save: keep the take, added to this script's Takes
- Share: send the take out of the app
Managing your takes
Every take you save is stored under that script's Takes list, with a thumbnail so you can find the one you want. Tap and hold a take to delete it. Self-tapes upload in the background once saved, so you can keep working while that happens. If you close the app mid-upload, it picks back up when you return.
Self-tape recording is unlimited on every plan. Take as many runs as you need.
